Hear For You provides a mentoring program which gives guidance and support to hearing impaired teens at a vitally important stage of their lives. A positive outlook, career advice and the skills to cope with the challenging adolescent years are given through a series of workshops. Our specially trained mentors are hearing impaired and have a wealth of personal experience to share. They went to mainstream schools, attended universities and progressed onto successful careers in their chosen fields.
Hear For You addresses the issues and supports the needs of young deaf people with different degrees of hearing loss. Our mentors help teens accept that deafness is not a disadvantage, just a difference. They lift self-esteem and provide a positive outlook for the future.
