• Being selected as one of six Year 11 students as group leader to assist with Year 10 Outward Bound school camp.

• Joint-President of local Rotaract Club, 1993-94. Organised fundraising activities.
  

• Travelled the world in 1996 for 3 months: Drove around the UK, toured Europe via Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic Spain & France. Road tour from New York to Los Angles on the southern route.
  

• Marrying Alison! They first met in 1991 and did not like each other then!
  

• Starting up own business while still working full-time. Making a profit in their first full financial year.
  

• Winner of the 1999 Mary & Albert Shepherd Award (Past Graduate of the Year).
