Inspiration
Olivia's passion to support the development of deaf and hearing impaired adolescents can be traced back to her great grandmother, Jessie Street, the social reformer who, with Faith Bandler, was instrumental in attaining the right for the Aborigines to vote in 1967. Jessie's life was dedicated to peace and justice, and she also fought for the under-privileged and disadvantaged.
"It was reading her autobiography that inspired me to set up Hear For You to endeavour to improve the lives of young deaf people who are experiencing adolescent issues associated with hearing loss"
