Program Structure

Hear For You, the first organisation of its kind in Australia, is initially operating in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and ACT. It is envisaged that it will expand throughout Perth and Adelaide.

The mentoring program will be tailored for three age-specific groups:

• Years 7 and 8
  

• Years 9 and 10
  

• Years 11 and 12
  

The program is conducted over two school terms. The level of the content and activities of the program becomes more advanced for each group as well as tailored to the specific needs of the age. This enables mentees to progress from one group to the next over time.

The mentee-to-mentor ratio is kept low to ensure mentees can participate in group discussions and to enable the mentors to spend time with each mentee.
